The Story & Lore
The Lands Between used to be a place but it got broken when the Elden Ring was destroyed. This made a mess and a lot of fighting. You are a Tarnished, someone who was kicked out a time ago but you got a special call to come back to the Lands Between. You need to find the pieces of the Elden Ring and become the Elden Lord to make things right
George R.R. Martin helped make the stories and myths of the world and Hidetaka Miyazaki’s team put these stories into the game. They made a world that’s full of secrets and surprises. If you are patient and look around you will find a lot of things.
Open World Done Right
The Lands Between is divided into six areas. Limgrave, Liurnia of the Lakes, Caelid, Altus Plateau, Mountaintops of the Giants and Farum Azula. Each area is different. Has its own look and feel. You get a special horse called Torrent to ride around and explore.
You do not get maps or markers to tell you where to go. You have to look and figure things out for yourself. This makes the game feel more real and exciting.

The open world is not a big empty space. Every cave, castle and ruin has something inside. A tough boss, a strong item, a piece of the story or a special merchant. FromSoftware made sure that every part of the world is interesting and fun.
Combat & Build Variety
